We're not a denomination but simply the church which was established on Pentecost(Acts 2). We aren't the only Christians but we are Christians only.
We're called the "Christian Church," because Christ is the head of the church and as His body it belongs to Him(Col. 1:18; Matt. 18:18; Rom. 16:18). The word Christian means belonging to Christ.
One becomes a member of this church upon the same conditions all believers have become a part of the Lord's church. Through faith in Christ (Matt. 16:16), repentance toward Christ(Acts 2:38), confession of Christ(Matt. 10:32-33), and baptism into Christ (Mark 16:16; Gal. 3:27).
We observe the Lord's Supper every Lord's Day because the first Christians did(Acts 2:42; Acts 20:7),and in order to remember Christ's death until He returns(1 Cor. 11:25-26).
The doctrine we follow and obey is that which has been given through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit inspired apostles(John 16:13-14; Gal. 1:8-9). We believe that the gospel of Christ is sufficient for the salvation of mankind(Acts 4:10-12). The Bible is our only rule offaith and practice. Scripture is our final authority, because it is the very word of God(2 Tim. 3:16-17).
The plea of Friendship Christian Church is to restore in practice and spirit the New Testament church that is reveled in God's word.
Our Mission is:
To reach the lost and teach the saints to reach the lost.
